Much of the nightlife can be found in the bars of posh hotels along the Promenade des Anglais, but pubs are becoming more and more popular among the young crowd. Vieux Nice has many good drinking establishments. Nightclubs can be very exclusive so dress your best and be prepared to pay a lot for entry. Nightclubs - B52 may have a small dance floor, but the music, young crowd, and cheap drink deals make up for it. Located at 8 Descente Crotti. - Le Blue Boy is a gay bar, but welcomes lesbians and straights. Two bars, two dance floors, disco, funk, techno, and house makes this one of the best places to go dancing in Nice. Wednesdays and weekends only. Located at 9 rue Jean-Baptiste- Spinétta. - Le Charlot is part nightclub and part cabaret club. Located at rue St. Francois de Paule. - Le Ghost is a trendy bar with internet access, food, DJs, and dancing. Located at 3 rue de la Barillerie. Bars and Pubs - Blue Whales is a small, live music venue. Bans range from latin to rock to jazz. Located at 5 quai des Deux-Emmanuel. - De Klomp is a Dutch-themed bar with 18 beers on tap. Located at 6 rue Mascoinat in Vieux Nice. - L'Escalier is a nice pub for playing billiards and just chilling out. Located off the Promenade des Anglais in Vieux Nice. ? Le Queenie is the place to go to watch sporting events on big plasma screens. They show everything from rugby to football. Located at 19 Promenade des Anglais. - Master Home is part Scottish pub, part club, part cyber café. Located at Vieux Nice next to the Place du Plais de Justice and the Cours Saleya. - McMahon's Irish Pub has a daily happy hour. From 18:00 to 21:00, all pints are €4. Located on boulevard Jean Jaures in Vieux Nice. ? Paparazzi is an underground backpacker pub. They have pool tables and space to dance. Located at 21 rue de Belgique. - Pub Thor has live music every night. The notably Scandinavian staff serve 50 different beers, but no Scandinavian food. Located on cours Saleya in Vieux Nice. - Waynes is owned and operated by an American expat who loves rock music. There is live music and American-style food. This venue attracts a young crowd looking to rock out to some classic tunes. Open Fridays and Saturdays. Located at 15 rue de la Préfecture. |
